Nocton Woolshed – 700 North Road, Clevedon

Thank you for booking Nocton Woolshed and we look forward to creating with you a truly memorable and special event.
The hire is from 12.00pm the day before your wedding until 12.00pm the day after your wedding.
Venue maximum 120 people including the Bridal Party.

The Venue Hire Includes:
• Exclusive use of Nocton Woolshed and the Lawn, the kitchen, toilets and car park
• Full PA and sound system including microphones
• Mobile sound system for ceremony
• Wooden Tables and Chairs for 120 people
• Wooden Ceremony Arch or Manuka Ceremony Arch (TBC closer to date)
• Indoor or outdoor bar
• Parking for 40 cars including 2 mobility parks
• 3 white plastic trestle tables
You will need to:
• hire your crockery, cutlery and glassware.
• hire additional chairs for an outdoor ceremony if required
• clean the venue by 12.00pm the following day and remove all decorations, rubbish, recycling and items not belonging to the venue
You can:
• choose your own professional self-contained/mobile caterer (complying with recent health & safety regulations 2017)
• BYO beverages/alcohol. You must hire a dedicated, licenced & experienced bar manager

The following are also available and are included in the price
• Some rustic decorations – Old Barn Door, Cream Cans, Window framed chalkboard
• Giant Jenga outdoor game and Corn Toss game


HIRER RESPONSIBILITIES


• NO CONFETTI,
except natural rose petals on the ceremony lawn only (an additional cleaning charge will be applied if this is not followed)
• NO DOGS – we are a working farm with stock present
• Please ensure the safety of all people involved with your setup, wedding and clean-up
• Your Master of Ceremony, or anther designated guest, should to notify all present of standard health and safety and other matters as set out below
• Clean all Nocton Woolshed items you have used and leave them ready for the next hirer.
(All cleaning products and instructions are provided onsite)
• To report any breakages, loss or damage to premises, grounds, fixture and fittings. Accidents happen and we would rather know than find out later.
• If using the farm area for photos to leave ALL GATES as you find them.
(If open leave open, if closed shut immediately behind you).
• To stop serving alcohol, guests depart and stop ALL music at midnight. (recorded and live)
• To vacate the premises by 1.00am
• To clean the venue by 12.00pm the following day and remove all decorations, ALL foliage/flowers, rubbish, recycling and items not belonging to Nocton Woolshed including any hired items. (Details onsite and below)

MASTER OF CEREMONIES (MC) RESPONSIBILITIES (Please inform your MC)

  1. Notify all present of fire and evacuation procedure –the assembly place is the ceremony lawn.
    a. Address for FIRE service is 700 NORTH ROAD, CLEVEDON, South Auckland (NOCTON WOOLSHED)
  2. Notify smokers that they must use the designated smoking area only and ensure all items are extinguished in the receptacle provided (and to be aware of fire hazards)
  3. Ensure curfew and exit of property is followed: Alcohol and ALL music must stop at 12PM and all guests leave. Hirer and any Vendors to exit the property by 1:00am
  4. Children must always be fully supervised and are your responsibility.

LIST OF USEFUL ITEMS
• Rubbish bags and bins
• Containers/bags for recycling (use the boxes they were supplied in)
• Chalk for blackboard and signs
• Buckets/bins for ice
• Twine, Bluetak, scissors, nails, staples
• A sense of fun and adventure
SETUP DAY: From 12.00 noon the day before your wedding.
Be aware there may be another wedding the day before who have the venue until 12.00 noon so please respect that.

PLEASE TEXT OR CALL WHEN YOU ARRIVE -THE VENUE WILL BE UNLOCKED
You can go in and get started with your preparations whenever you arrive. Nikki, or another member of the Nocton Woolshed team, will pop in to show you how everything works and run through Health & Safety procedures with your MC.
Deliveries and Pickup: As there may be another wedding before or after you, all deliveries and pickups must be during your 48-hour hire period (unless arranged otherwise)
Security: When you leave for the night, shut the gate at the entrance to the Woolshed. If you require us to lock it please let us know.
Vendors: Any vendors and suppliers are your responsibility and must adhere to hire conditions. Any damage will be at your cost.


CLEANUP DAY: You have until 12.00 noon to leave the venue clean and tidy, ready for the next guests.

Please follow the cleaning instructions provided to ensure smooth transition between events and easy signoff of the venue after inspection.
