Nocton Woolshed
Check out Nocton Woolshed - which we created from a working shearing shed into a wonderful rustic space with opportunity for you to turn it into your special event or wedding venue.
Featuring the original corrugated iron building with rimu floor, an original homestead, a beautiful ceremony lawn and some wonderful improvements, it hosts 120 guests in comfort.
Both the ceremony lawn and wrap-around deck offer a fabulous sense of rural tranquility.
Views over the Clevedon river valley to the Hauraki Gulf and Islands, together with Pohutukawa trees,
native bush and birds make it a beautiful location.

We operate from 1st October - April 30th with weekend and weekday options for wedding and events.
Our Story
For many years our woolshed remained idle as our farm had changed from sheep to grazing cows.
Then one day one of our daughters' got engaged!
A few days later we got a phone call:
"Mum and Dad - can we get married in the woolshed?"
Well, a small project turned into a larger project, as these things do.
It is such a beautiful spotand way too good not to share.
We decided that we should do the job "properly" and turn the woolshed in to a venue that we could share with others.
AND SO BEGAN "NOCTON WOOLSHED VENUE"
Venue Hire Details Nocton Woolshed - Open 1st October - April 30th
Our standard hire includes:
- The venue for 48 hours - giving you a half day to setup, the day of the wedding/event and half a day to clean-up after the event.
- The hire allows for up to 120 guests including the Bridal Party
- The Hire Includes
- Tables and chairs
- Toilets & a small Kitchen
- Parking for 60 cars
- Built-in sound system and outdoor sound system
- You need to add:
- A caterer of your choice (we have a list of recommended caterers we have worked with)
- BYO drinks (No extra corkage charges). However you need to provide a bar manager (often part of the services your caterer can provide)
- Your own decorations to turn a beautiful location into an amazing occasion - We include some cool props and games.
- Other services like wedding celebrant, a DJ or band, etc.
